Frequently Asked Questions
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic supports the concept that maintenance of proper function of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems can provide for better health. Chiropractic is a form of health care that is drugless, noninvasive, and actively promotes health. Chiropractic care is holistic, meaning that the entire body and a person’s lifestyle are examined and treated. When Dr. Simpson works with a patient, the cause of the patient’s physical problem is addressed and lifestyle factors that may affect the problem are modified to speed recovery and prevent recurrence.
Chiropractic is the science of gently correcting misaligned vertebra, called subluxations, in order to remove nerve interference that cause health problems.
The Three Major PREMISES of Chiropractic
# 1 – The body is a self-healing organism.
# 2 – The brain and the nervous system control the body.
# 3 – Interference between the brain and the body, by way of a pinched nerve (subluxation), causes malfunction and disease.
